This year’s food festival will take place on Castledawson Main Street on Saturday, 12th September, 2009 from 11.00am to 6.00pm.

As a showcase for local and regional artisan produce, the Lough Neagh Food Festival will, for the second year, celebrate the wealth of food and related products sourced, grown and manufactured in Northern Ireland.
The festival has enjoyed the support of Good Food Ambassador, Jenny Bristow.
Funded by The Northern Ireland Regional Food Programme and Magherafelt District Council, the festival is a project by the Castledawson Development Enterprises Limited.
The Festival’s eclectic mix of shopping, wine tasting and a packed entertainment programme, ensures it has a wide ranging appeal for everyone from families looking for a great day out to foodies there to enjoy the challenge of our chef’s masterclass.
Association with the Festival offers affiliation with a fresh and innovative event that promotes good food and drink, encourages a sense of community, offers networking opportunities and advocates the importance of artisan craftsmanship.
